Your Bio

I come by my interest in photography naturally, because my mother has always been a real shutterbug. Actually, that's putting it mildly - my sister and I grew up seeing spots from all those old flash cubes and movie camera floodlights, and we're lucky we didn't suffer any permanent vision damage! LOL! We thought it was all nonsense back then, but we sure are glad to have those old photos and movies to look back on now!

These days, I find myself on the other side of the lens 99% of the time. I'm not a professional, I don't have any fancy equipment, nor have I ever taken any type of photography classes. Maybe someday that will change, but for right now, I just have a very simple digital camera (currently, a Kodak EasyShare Z612) that happens to take pretty decent pictures when I "point and shoot," so that's all I do!

Nature has always fascinated me as well - ALL living things, whether they be in a wild setting, or someone's backyard. MY backyard, however, houses more "nature" than most, and because I enjoy gardening and all sorts of other outdoorsy type activities, its no coincidence that most of my photographs are of plant and animal life. I rarely photograph people - usually only when I'm asked to. Don't get me wrong, I love a great portrait or candid shots of family and friends - but when it comes to actually TAKING pictures, pet portraits and nature photography appeal to me SO much more than people pictures do.

On this site, you'll find a collection of what I believe to be my best and most interesting photos, plus a few that may not be mine, but that deserve a place here (proper credit is given if known). This site will be an ever-changing project for me, so be sure to check back for new photos from time to time! And your comments are not only welcome, but they are appreciated. Enjoy!
