Ember - 1/2/2015

Wildfire was looking for a home in the early fall of 2014, and it was believed that she was in foal. My friends at Royal Retreat Farm opened their barn to her, and on the bitterly cold afternoon of January 2, 2015, a gorgeous little appaloosa filly named Ember was born. The original plan was for me to photograph her birth, but Wildfire had other ideas and delivered Ember in the pasture when no one was watching - so I had to "settle" for photographing her first few hours of life...
